Irfan Mensur was born in Sarajevo on January 19, 1952. He finished high school in Niš. He earned his acting diploma at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, n professor Minja Dedić’s class. He was a member of Yugoslav Drama Theater from 1974 to 2017.

He received numerous acting and directing awards at theater and film festival. He taught acting at the International University’s department in Niš, and acquired the status of an associate professor of acting. He has directed over 25 plays in theaters in Belgrade, Zaječar, Niš, Vršac, Mostar…
