Applications open for ERASMUS+ scholarships for student mobility

We would like to inform you that applications are open for ERASMUS+ KA103 scholarships for student mobility at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts. We’re inviting applications for academic mobility which will be realized in the winter semester of the 2022/2023 school year.

The submission deadline is Thursday, 28 April, at 3 PM.

We invite all interested students to submit their application and get an opportunity to spend one semester of their studies in one of our partner higher education institutions abroad.

ERASMUS+ info day on student mobility opportunities held at FCA

An ERASMUS+ info day dedicated to student mobility opportunities within the ERASMUS+ student exchange program was held at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts.

Students were welcomed by the FCA Vice Dean, Dr Dragan Ćalović, who provided all the necessary information regarding the upcoming student mobility competition that will be organized during the 2022/2023 winter semester.

Benefits of student exchange

Professor Ćalović introduced students to the benefits of student exchange, and opportunities offered to students of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, as well as terms of the competition.

webinar ASSERTING THE CITY’S PUBLIC REALM: Imagining urban possibilities

The European Cultural Academy (ECA) in collaboration with Dr Benjamin A. Bross, Assistant Professor at the Illinois School of Architecture runs a design studio on the topic of ASSERTING THE CITY’S PUBLIC REALM: Imagining urban possibilities in Venice, Italy this summer.

As introduction to the summer design studio, ECA hosts a webinar on April 29th, 2021, 5 – 6pm (CDT/ Illinois time) for interested students. Dr Benjamin A. Bross is analaysing spatial production and how it generates place-based sociocultural identity. During the webinar he will give a glimpse on the studio, talking about urban possibilities in Venice and beyond.

Student mobility opportunities through the Erasmus+ program

We would like to inform you that a webinar on student mobility opportunities through the Erasmus+ program will take place on Monday, April 6, starting from 4 PM, as part of Erasmus Week.

The webinar, organized by the Info Center of the Tempus Foundation, is designed for students on all academic levels with the aim of providing information on student exchange and practices abroad.

If you would like to take part in the webinar, please fill in the registration form via THIS LINK no later than 12 noon on April 6.

The webinar will address the participation requirements for Erasmus+ exchanges, the scholarships, the necessary documentation and the registration process.

 

Take part in the “Les Balkannes” open call

The “Les Balkannes” open call is intended for all photography aficionados who pursuit it at a non-professional level. The theme of the exhibition is the portrayal of women in the Balkans.

The goal of the “Les Balkannes” exhibition is to promote women’s portrayals and representations in the Balkans.

If you would like to take part in the project, please send a photo picturing the way people in the Balkans see women, not later than January 31 at: assoekpo@hotmail.com. The exhibition will take place 1–14 April 2021 at the Malesherbes center of the University Paris-Sorbonne, an international space of knowledge and sharing.

GET TO KNOW CHINESE CULTURE

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts, in cooperation with China-Europe Silk Road Culture Exchange & Cooperation Organization, has provided its students with a FREE course on Chinese culture. The course is supported by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. All participants who successfully complete the course will receive certificates of completion.

The twelve-day online course will take place from January 11 through 22, 2021. During the course, the participants will learn about the basics of the Chinese language and culture (architecture, festivals and holidays, Chinese art and calligraphy, traditional crafts, tea culture, etc.).

The application deadline is December 31, 2020. The applications must contain the following:

  • name and surname,
  • year of birth,
  • nationality,
  • gender,
  • passport and ID number,
  • email address.

FCA SIGNS COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH CHENGDU NONGYUAN CULTURE AND ART PROMOTION

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts continues to expand its list of global partners.
FCA’s new partner is Chengdu Nongyuan Culture and Art Promotion form China. The cooperation agreement was signed in early May.

This renowned art center from the Sichuan province was founded with the aim of promoting international artistic exchange and cooperation, which include residential programs, partner exhibitions and shared initiatives.
The partnership opens the possibility of organizing student and professor mobility between the Faculty of Contemporary Arts and educational institutions from Chengdu, as well as shared events aimed at promoting art and culture.

FCA BECOMES AN ACCREDITED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ORGANIZATION

University Business Academy in Novi Sad’s Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia to perform scientific research.

The decision enabled FCA to join the registered scientific research institutions in the country, gaining the right to manage science and research projects both at the national level (projects funded by the competent ministry) and the international level. The scientific research accreditation is a confirmation of high scientific competencies and an indicator of FCA’s commitment to support the development of scientific research in the country. This achievement is a complement to FCA’s accomplishments in the artistic development and education of young people.

 

 

COOPERATION WITH THE FACULTY OF DESIGN FROM SLOVENIA

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade signed a memorandum of understanding and an Erasmus+ cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Design from Trzin, Slovenia.

These are important interinstitutional contracts which arrange student and professor mobility between the two schools and provide the opportunity to improve the partnership and develop joint art and science projects.
These contracts are part of FCA’s activities aimed at enhancing cooperation and partnership with other higher education and cultural institutions.

 

 

CONNECT FOR CREATIVITY

Open Call

Connect for Creativity art and technology residency will bring artists from Turkey, the UK, Greece and Serbia together to build bridges and empathy within and across societies. The artists will be asked to question what hopes and fears are associated with rapidly changing work and life environments in contemporary society, how a networked culture can develop cohesion and deal with uncertainty and change.

The residency will be a catalyst for raising the awareness of immersive and digital for art across Europe, and strengthen their ability to make and collaborate on international projects now and in the future. One of the ambitions of the residency is to focus on intercultural collaborative experience.
