Last week, as part of their Theory of Performance and Visual Poetics classes, FCA’s Visual Arts students attended Marina Abramović’s exhibition ‘The Cleaner’.

Around 62,000 people visited the exhibition which opened in September at the Museum of Contemporary Arts.

Professor Ćalović held a public class for the students

Professor Dragan Ćalović introduced the students and other visitors to the central aspects of Abramović’s work, the trajectory of her oeuvre and the different approaches to interpreting and understanding performance art.
The public class at the Museum of Contemporary Arts was, among other things, the result of the cooperation between this renowned institution and the Faculty of Contemporary Arts and it follows the practice of enabling students to explore specific issues in modern art through first-hand experience.
