Professor Aleksandar Šević, PhD, gave a lecture entitled The Impact of Social Metrics on Decentralised Financial Entities at ITS on December 16 to students and employees of the LINK edu Alliance, i.e. ITS, Faculty of Contemporary Arts, BusinessAcademy, ITAcademy and InternetAcademy. The lecture, which could be followed live or via live stream, was an excellent opportunity to hear the results of relevant world research in this field.
In his lecture, Professor Šević presented a study on the impact of social metrics on decentralized financial entities, and spoke about the results of the study that, by studying a larger group of sufficiently liquid DeFi projects, investigated the impact of social metrics, such as Twitter, market expectations, and multiple indices relevant for cryptocurrencies. The lecture paid special attention to considerations regarding the use of NF tokens as support for entrepreneurs from creative industries.
As you are no doubt aware, Aleksandar Šević is an Associate Professor at Trinity Business School at Trinity College Dublin, and assistant editor of the Finance Research Letters journal. In addition, he is a CFA charterholder (since 2005), and CAIA charterholder (since 2013). He has also become a professor at ITS as of this year.
