The Character Design major within the Visual Arts study program offers specialized education where students undergo an intensive learning process to master the skills of drawing and painting figures. This major encompasses fundamental disciplines of Visual Arts with a deep focus on anatomy and physical characteristics of humans and living beings, preparing students to thoroughly understand and depict the figure in all its aspects. Through this major, students are gradually trained to apply their artistic knowledge and technical skills in creating and developing distinctive characters, which is a key aspect of figurative language.
The focus of this major is on studying the human body, anatomy in general, and the potential for transforming characters in different stylizations and contexts. Students engage in the challenge of understanding and representing the figure through various art styles, from realistic to abstract interpretations, enabling them to develop flexibility and innovation in their artistic work.
