EXHIBITION OF ĐORĐE STANOJEVIĆ “DODIR SVETLOSTI” AT FCA GALLERY
Andjela Petrovic / / News / 13. 04. 2023.
We invite you to visit the exhibition of Professor Đorđe Stanojević, head of the Department of Visual Arts, at the Gallery of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, from April 13 to 18, 2023.
The touch of light and pigment on the canvas creates a gentle content. Light brings paintings to life and triggers their inner events. In contact with light, they become sensitive, crystallize, and become mirrors of the sky.
The professor emphasizes that colored light, like pigment, creates fullness in contact with natural light or surfaces. He has previously exhibited paintings as collectors of light, very often in nature itself. There, they transformed into solar cells.
Light sources are very exciting. They are made for light. Their ergonomics are therefore very exciting and participate in creating the overall installation with paintings made of pigments bound by light. The optics of Fresnel lenses are combined with the optics of cameras and the optics of our eyes. The appearance of optical crystals depends on the refraction of light. Clear ideas can be read in these crystals. They are like the twinkles of an eye.
MERGING NATURAL PROCESSES WITH ART
The professor works with light as he does with pigment, and at the FCA Gallery, he had the opportunity to make the desired fusion for the first time in his life.
I work with materials that excite me. It is necessary for me to love them and miss them. I easily find them. I dream about them and contemplate them. It’s the same with canvases, pigments, and mediums as it is with light sources. With them, I gain the sensitivity of touch that I can fully follow. That touch opens the inner space of the painting. The painting is finished when it becomes a mirror of the sky. It can only become such in contact with light and with the eye. Thus, ideas are born as crystals through which light passes.
Visit the FCA Gallery until April 18 and enjoy the art created by Professor Đorđe Stanojević.
