Teachers from the Faculty of Contemporary Arts (FCA) and Information Technology School (ITS), Valentin Kuleto, Milena Ilić, Aleksandar Simović, and Mladen Radaković, along with their colleague Marko Ranković, have published a chapter in the prestigious “Springer” monograph titled “Augmented and Virtual Reality in the Metaverse”.
The chapter, named “Augmented and Virtual Reality in the Context of the Metaverse: Impact on the Future of Work, Education, and Social Interactions”, presents significant research on the impact of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies on various aspects of society and education within the growing phenomenon of the metaverse.
Innovations and challenges of the application of AR and VR technologies in everyday life
The authors explore how AR and VR technologies have changed the way we work, facilitating remote collaboration and creating new forms of virtual work environments. They also investigate their potential in the field of education, where immersive experiences have enabled better understanding and promoted student engagement. Additionally, they discuss the impact of these technologies on social interactions, highlighting how AR and VR have created new opportunities for communication and community building within the metaverse.
This chapter not only explores innovative applications of AR and VR technologies but also considers the challenges that arise from their integration into our daily lives.
We congratulate the professors on this outstanding achievement and wish them much success in their future work, research, and application of new technologies that shape our future.
