Great news for the Faculty of Contemporary Arts arrived from America and Hungary. It is our great honor that Đorđe Stanojević, FCA professor and head of the Department of Visual Arts, is part of the Serbian visual arts team for the third time.
After Shanghai, Beijing and Paris, this time his works will be exhibited in the capitals of the United States of America and Hungary – Washington and Budapest.
Works from the “Sonari” series as a part of the MOST SERBIA project at the Budapest “Art Market”
His works were presented as part of the national selection of the large Budapest “Art Market”, within the MOST SERBIA project. Namely, this year, Serbia is the country which is the focus of this large European exhibition. Professor Stanojević, with his concept of the “Nature & Art” platform, connecting natural and artistic processes, exhibited large-format works from the “Sonari” series. This segment of the representation of Serbia on the European art scene was extremely noticeable.
Exhibitions at the Embassy of the RS and Gallery “Anacostia” in Washington
Two exhibitions were opened in Washington with a selection of works by nine Serbian artists, mostly professors from Belgrade academies. The exhibitions were opened in the newly opened embassy of the Republic of Serbia and the international art center “Anacostia”. The Serbian art presentation project is called FINDING A WAY, SERBIAN CONTEMPORARY ART. Professor Stanojević presented a total of five of his works at these exhibitions in the capital of the United States of America.
The exhibition at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia was opened on October 12 as a permanent exhibition of the embassy. The exhibition in the gallery “Anacostia” lasts from October 17 to November 5, 2022.
We congratulate Professor Đorđe Stanojević on this great success!
