“NATURE & ART” – LINK BETWEEN NATURAL AND ARTISTIC PROCESSES

The aim of the “Nature & Art” project is to explore the possibility of connecting natural and artistic processes through various artistic practices. Over time, the project has expanded to all other human activities and raised questions about how to connect natural processes with sociological, technological, and economic processes.

The idea of the nature camp is to take young artists out of their usual creative environments, which are mostly in urban areas. By moving into nature, a completely new world opens up to them. Everything changes because the creation of artistic works occurs in dialogue with the new natural environment and natural materials.

CREATION OF ARTWORKS FROM MATERIALS FOUND IN NATURE

The camp venue chosen is Osečina – a place known for its Plum Fair and untouched nature. Artists have a week, the duration of the camp, to create their works. With the help of the organizers, young artists also conduct workshops where they present their concepts and actively engage in discussions with other camp participants and local residents.

This project was initiated with the idea of enabling the realization of artistic works from materials found in nature, in the given space. The goal is to reconsider the concept that can be defined as PAINTING WITH NATURE. When it comes to painting with nature, it implies all the media of contemporary art that realize this way of thinking through artistic practice.

This year, the realization of the camp was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
