Clothes and manner of dress in the context of sociological, cultural and psychological phenomena
The topic of the doctoral art project Body as a Social Impression: The Phenomenon of Clothes as a Second Skin is clothing and manner of dress in the context of sociological, cultural and psychological phenomena with constant reference to artistic aspects through the analysis of works of artists who addressed the topic of clothing and manner of dress through different media. The research focused on the CLOTHES–BODY–IDENTITY relation reveals an unbreakable bond between these concepts and shifts the focus of our attention from the expected relation CLOTHES–BODY to the relation CLOTHES–IDENTITY. The issue of identity is further analyzed through the prism of gender identity in line with feminist and socially engaged practices.
You can see the atmosphere from the defense of the doctoral art project, and some of the works of our great artist Melisa Vreto whom we congratulate on this amazing success.
