The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is an initiative of the European Commission aimed at developing sustainable solutions for transforming environments and lifestyles. The initiative has demonstrated that a positive transition is possible through collaborative creation within the NEB community, which comprises over 1,400 members involved in approximately 500 implemented projects.

The New European Bauhaus Festival was launched to establish a platform for communication and show best practices related to building a more sustainable, beautiful, and inclusive world. The festival has been held since 2022, initially gathering over 200,000 participants in Brussels and online. Within the NEB festival, NEB Awards are presented to motivate individuals and organizations to incorporate the ideas and values of this initiative into their projects.

The NEB Festival 2024, with a large number of followers both in Brussels and online, brought together over 250 artists, exhibitors, and speakers in panel discussions, workshops, and performances, along with 29,935 individuals who voted for the NEB Awards. Between 2021 and 2024, approximately 5,000 projects were submitted for the awards, with 52 winners receiving prizes ranging from €15,000 to €30,000.
