SCULPTURE “SRCE BEOGRADA” BY ARTIST AND ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AT FCA, JELENA STEPANOV, INSTALLED IN THE SHOPPING MALL “GALERIJA”

In anticipation of International Women’s Day, the sculpture “Srce Beograda” by Jelena Stepanov was installed in the shopping mall “Galerija”, expressing both respect and love for the city of Belgrade and all its residents.
The cultural and artistic initiative “KvART Belgrade Waterfront“ launched a unique art contest in these areas, titled “Become a part of the kvART“, with the aim of giving young artists the opportunity to enrich our capital with artistic installations, sculptures, and contemporary street furniture.
Jelena Stepanov emphasizes that this is an interesting and original sculpture that stimulates individual insights and various aspects of collective experiences of love.
It connects people through emotions, a sense of belonging, friendship, affection, generosity, and compassion.
Stepanov has emphasized that her work is a reflection of selfless love and that for her, the heart signifies love, and the “Srce Beograda” is her gift to her beloved hometown.
The Faculty of Contemporary Arts congratulates Assistant Professor Jelena Stepanov on her exhibition and the fact that the “Srce Beograda” is the first artistic installation resulting from the “Become a part of the KvART” contest, which fellow citizens had the opportunity to see live.
