The play “Iza Čehova“, performed by students of acting in the class of Professor Branislav Lečić, will take place on Tuesday, May 14, starting at 7.30 p.m., at the Summer Stage of the “Portal” Theater, located at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts (12 Svetozara Miletića Street, Belgrade).
“Iza Čehova“
The play “Iza Čehova” is inspired by the works of A. P. Chekhov. The dramatic text follows the creation of this great writer, his writing crises, his collaboration with the Korsh Theater, his illness, his romantic relationship with Olga Knipper, and his collaboration with Stanislavski. Genre-wise, this play can be characterized as poetic symbolism. The actors are present on stage throughout, portraying their characters as well as the scenery, atmosphere, and even Chekhov’s thoughts. Stage movement was choreographed by Professor Marina Bukvički, while the music was composed by Professor Dina Miletić. The director of the play is Janko Cekić.
