Accreditation and quality as the foundation of development and innovation at FCA

Beginnings

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia issued the accreditation certificate to the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, thereby confirming the exceptional quality of the educational process at this faculty. The decision on accreditation was made following a detailed analysis of comprehensive documentation submitted by the faculty, with particular recognition given to the quality of teaching, seriousness in work, and adherence to the strict standards set by the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance.

Duration

All subsequent accreditation and reaccreditation processes for the institution and its study programs, conducted by the National Body for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NEAQA) and the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE), aim to ensure that higher education institutions in Serbia not only meet but exceed the prescribed quality standards. With its success in each accreditation cycle, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts stands out as an institution that addresses the individual needs of each student, delivers teaching through the most modern programs, and provides working conditions in line with global standards.

The official documentation that confirms the existence of all necessary accreditations and work permits includes the following documents: Decision, Certificate, Work Permit, Decision on the name change of the Faculty, Decision on joining the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, and Accreditation for Scientific Research Work (SRW). Additionally, study programs at all levels, from undergraduate and master’s studies to doctoral studies of arts, are accredited.

The undergraduate academic studies include programs in Visual Arts, Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Costume Design, Dramatic Arts, Multimedia Production, Music Communications, Applied Media and Content Creation, Creative Business, and Creative Marketing. These programs enable students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills aligned with the modern needs of the market and industry.

In master’s studies, the Faculty of Contemporary Arts offers advanced programs such as Visual Arts – Painting, Dramatic Arts – Acting, Interior Design, Visual Communications, Art Direction and Concept Design, Product Design, Costume Design, Management in Creative Industries, and Creative Communications. These programs provide students with specialized knowledge and expertise necessary for advancement in their creative careers.

Doctoral studies in arts include programs in Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, and Design. These highest levels of education allow students to engage in advanced research and creation in their fields, contributing to the development of the arts and creative industries in general.

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts remains committed to providing high-quality education, applying recognized methods of modern study and business, thereby continuously improving its position as a leading institution in the field of art education in Serbia.

Accreditation of Scientific Research Organization

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia for conducting scientific research activities in the field of humanities – art sciences. This accreditation results from meeting strict criteria, including participation in scientific research projects, cooperation with domestic and international partners, and achieving significant results in scientific research. The faculty possesses adequate space, equipment, expert staff, and a developed program for the development of young researchers, confirming a high level of quality and commitment to research work.

Future – Accreditation and Quality Assurance Team

The Faculty of Contemporary Arts continues to look ahead, focusing on the continuous development and improvement of the educational process within the creative industries. The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Team plays a key role in this process, developing existing curricula and creating new, innovative programs that address contemporary challenges and market needs. This progress enables students to acquire skills and knowledge that will place them at the forefront of the industry.

Additionally, the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Team remains permanently engaged, ensuring that all faculty programs meet and exceed the highest quality standards. This team, which is never disbanded, ensures that FCA remains a leading institution in education for the creative industries, always oriented towards achieving excellence and innovation in education.
